Welcome to South Shelby Connectors

One Year Strong. Built on Trust. Powered by Relationships.

South Shelby Connectors is a results-driven business networking group built on trust, consistency, and real relationships. Every Friday at 7:30 AM, local professionals gather in Calera with one clear mission: help each other grow.

This isn't a casual coffee club. It's a room full of business owners who show up, follow through, and believe that when one of us wins, we all win.

More Than a Meeting — A Movement

A note from our founder, James Isbell.

A year ago, I sat down with a simple idea: business grows faster when it's built on trust.

I'd been in enough networking rooms to know the difference between a card-swapping contest and a real community — and I knew South Shelby deserved the real thing. Because this isn't just where I do business. It's home. This corner of Alabama is where neighbors still wave from their porches, where small businesses are the heartbeat of Main Street, and where a handshake still means something.

So I gathered a handful of local professionals who believed what I believed: that business isn't about transactions. It's about relationships. The quiet handshake that turns into a referral. The conversation that sparks an idea. The trusted friend who sends you the client you've been waiting for.

Twelve months later, that idea has become a thriving community — and we're just getting started.

Put Your Business in Front of the Right People

South Shelby Connectors isn't just about Friday mornings — it's about momentum that lasts all week. Our public Facebook group gives growth-minded businesses a place to share their services, build credibility, and get found by people actively looking for help.

It's where referrals happen between meetings — and where our members' businesses stay top-of-mind in the community.

This Week's Presenter

Each week, a member of South Shelby Connectors shares a 10-minute presentation to educate the group on their business and ideal referrals. We feature the next three presenters so you always know who’s up next.

My name is Kelly Easterling with
Peach Country Theater,

Clanton’s first theater opened in 1909 in Chandler’s Building. Over the years, several theaters operated in town under different names before Charles Wade opened the Wadesonian Theatre in 1922 inside the old First Baptist Church building. After a fire destroyed the church theater in 1923, Wade reopened the Wadesonian on the west side of the railroad in 1924.

In 1936, Charles Wade and his son opened the “New Wadesonian Theatre,” while the original location continued operating. Wade also owned theaters in several nearby towns. The New Wadesonian closed in 1956, and the original Wadesonian continued showing movies into the 1970s, with one of the last known films being The Golden Voyage of Sinbad in 1973.
